Last week, I watched a series on Netfix that was quite good, "The Playlist." Why was it good? In my opinion, it was the story that Netfix wanted to tell - the inception and growth of a startup named Spotify. You're probably familiar with Spotify. It's an online music streaming provider. Personally, I've heard a lot about Spotify, but I've never used it. Perhaps after watching the series, I'll sign up for an account.
Now, back to why the movie is worth watching? Initially, I found it quite ordinary, and the actors didn't strike me as A-list or B-list stars. However, as I continued to follow it, I began to appreciate it more. Each actor portrayed their character with talent.
Why is the move called "The Playlist" ? You'll have to watch until episode 3 to understand. In essence, the playlist is a specialty of Spotify, a way for developers to make a profit. Spotify has both premium and free models. With premium, users own the playlists they create. If you want to keep your playlist to yourself, you have to pay to become a premium user. Spotify was created around the same time as The Pirate Bay Era, and there are many interesting events related to this in the movie. Definitely worth watching!
To help you understand:
1. The inception and growth of a startup named Spotify: It refers to the beginning and development of Spotify from its early stages to its current status
2. It is quite ordinary, and the actors didn't strike me as A-list or B-list stars : The movie is average or unremarkable, and the actors involved are not widely popular or famous.
