HL Hunt, the great oil billionaire, was once asked about his secrets of success, and he said there are basically two requirements for success in America. Only two, he said. First of all, decide exactly what you want. Most people never do that. Second of all, he said, determine the price you're going to have to pay to get it and then start paying it. You see, without goals, you're easily stopped because you don't know what you want.
